Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income

Gambling should be a form of entertainment, paid for out of money you can afford to lose. It is not a way to earn, to clear a debt or to win back what has already gone. Every game we offer carries a built-in house edge, so over time the expected result is a loss.

Decide what you are willing to spend before you play, and treat that figure the way you would treat the cost of any other evening out. If you notice yourself depositing to chase a loss, stop for the day.

  • 18+ only. Our services are for adults aged 18 or over. We hold a gaming licence and verify the age and identity of every account holder.
  • Set a budget first. Never stake money needed for rent, bills, food or repayments.
  • Keep gambling and borrowing apart. We do not accept credit card deposits, and we ask you not to play with borrowed money.
  • Play with a clear head. Tiredness, stress and alcohol all make it harder to stick to the plan you set.

The tools in your account and how to switch them on

Our safer gambling tools sit inside your account rather than in a separate service, and you can open them mid-session as well as between sessions.

  1. Sign in and open the responsible gaming section of your account settings.
  2. Choose a tool: deposit limit, loss limit, session limit, reality check, time-out or self-exclusion.
  3. Enter the amount or length of time you want, and the period it should cover, from the options shown in your account.
  4. Confirm the change. Tighter limits apply straight away; loosening or removing one is held for a cooling-off period first.
  5. If anything is unclear, ask on live chat or e-mail us before you confirm.

Deposit limits

A deposit limit caps what you can pay in over a day, a week or a month. Once you reach it, further deposits are declined until the period resets.

Loss and session limits

A loss limit ends play once your net losses in the chosen period reach your figure. A session limit closes the session after a set length of time, so a short game does not quietly become an evening.

Reality checks

A reality check interrupts play at the interval you pick with a short message showing how long you have played and where your balance stands. You can continue or close the session from it.

Time-outs and self-exclusion

A time-out is a short fixed break during which you cannot play or deposit, and it cannot be lifted early. Self-exclusion is longer and binding: we close the account to play and to marketing for the period you choose, and we do not reopen it before that period ends.

Signs that gambling may be causing harm

Harm builds slowly, and it is easier to spot in habits than in any single session. Go through this checklist honestly from time to time.

  • You play for longer or for more than you planned, most times you play.
  • You deposit again to win back losses.
  • You borrow money, sell things or use money meant for bills in order to play.
  • You hide how much you gamble from family, friends or a partner.
  • You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
  • You gamble to escape stress, low mood, boredom or loneliness.
  • Work, study, sleep or relationships are suffering.
  • You have tried to stop before and gone back sooner than you intended.

Where to get free, confidential help

The organisations below are not part of our business and do not charge for their services. You can contact them yourself, and we will also point you to them if you ask us for help.

  • GambleAware funds and signposts free treatment and prevention across Great Britain, with self-assessment tools and plain information for anyone worried about their own or someone else's gambling.
  • GamCare provides free counselling, treatment and group support, and runs the National Gambling Helpline for people who want to talk things through.
  • The National Gambling Helpline offers confidential advice day and night and can refer you to treatment near you, by phone or by online chat.
  • GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks you from gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose.

Free, confidential debt advice is also available in the UK, and treatment services can usually point you to it alongside support for gambling itself.

If you decide to register with GamStop, tell us or self-exclude with us as well, so that your account here closes at the same time. We can also send you the details of these services by e-mail.

Protecting children and other people in your household

Gambling is for adults only. We verify the age and identity of every customer before play, and we check again if anything about an account suggests the details we hold are not correct. Accounts opened by anyone under 18 are closed and any winnings are void, in line with our terms.

  • Never let someone else use your account, and never let a child watch you play or place a bet on your behalf.
  • Keep your password to yourself, log out on shared devices, and do not save payment details in a browser others use.
  • Consider filtering or parental control software on devices children can reach; such tools can block gambling sites and limit what apps can be installed.

If you believe a minor has used your account or reached our site, contact us on live chat or e-mail responsiblegaming@casinogamdom.co.uk straight away. You can also reach our support team at support@casinogamdom.co.uk at any time.
